Albinkirk

Albinkirk is one of the major cities in Alba. It is located in the northern part of the kingdom, where the Cochoton and the Albin River meet, and several bridges is maintained there making it an important strategic position. It currently has the status as a "Free City", and thus should hold no allegiance to any particular lord. The mayor Berold Tombend rules the city, and the appointed king's officer there is Jean de Vraily, which replaced Sir John Crayford when Berold Tombend won the last Albinkirk elections

History:
It was the original location of the great fair of the North, before it was moved west to Lissen Carak.

Thorn besieges the town and it's castle, forcing Sir John to enforce martial law and take command, the town is taken from them and burned but the castle holds out until the Wild's army leaves because a united Alban army is able to force them away. Since then, it was decreed to be a free city since the combined efforts of all the Lords of Alba was required to liberate it. However, Sir John Crayford has in effect governed the city and left the elected mayors with little real influence.
